This is my second Heart Rate monitor purchased from Polar via Amazon.
It is an upgrade of the base model, FT7 and has much improved funcitionality. I use it for zone workouts in a gym and it also connects to most of the cardio equipment for easier monitoring. My favorite feature is the lack of features, making it complicated to use when working out. It also has very large fonts that are easy to read when you are not wearing your glasses.

Finally, a nice HR monitor that tracks/records/analyzes your exercise sessions. The upload to the polar fitness website is smooth with the weblink accessory. Place the HR monitor face down on the weblink plate and BOOM, your workout(s) are uploaded to your personal page.

The reports about each session are very detailed and help you track your progress (or lack thereof), where your HR was during your session(s), how much time you spent in each HR zone, etc.

The chest strap in quite comfortable; one of the most comfortable chest straps that I have ever worn.

The only complaint I have is that the instructions for adding/modifying your "ownzone" is slim to none. Also, the alarm sound for when you enter/exit a HR zone ("ownzones") is not close to being loud enough.

I got this watch just because I wanted to start training "correctly" it does everything I need and more. Heart rate, calories, lap times. I recommend this watch to anybody wanting a heart rate monitor.

I used to have the RS200 and found that it suited my use for running. With the RS300X, its functions are similar and its electronics has a faster response. It works well and the chest strap is also comfortable.

I bought this thinking I would use all the features on it, but I really don't. I love having the option to use all the features it has, but if you're mostly going to count calories like I do, then you could go for a less expensive model. It's kind of hard to figure out how to use all the features on it so that's partly why I don't use them I guess. It's a really great product though! I'm glad I bought this one!

This heart rate monitor is great. It's loaded with features and I love the display indicating calories burned, heart rate and lap time. The instructions that come with the watch are not very intuitive, but you can go online and get better. The super saver free shipping is ok if your willing to wait 8 to 10 days to get it. I opted to pay $5 bucks to get it delivered in 4 to 5 days. Overall good experience. This was an Amazon purchase.
